NDS 420C Pop-Up Drainage Emitter for 3-Inch & 4-Inch Fittings

Capture stormwater runoff with grates, catch basins, channel drains, and other drainage systems, then route it to drain pipe for release downstream using a Pop-Up Drainage Emitter. The emitter connects to 3 in. and 4 in. sewer and drain fittings, as well as sewer and drain pipe and triple-wall pipe. It features a polyethylene cover.

By working alongside a complete drainage system, the Pop-Up Drainage Emitter efficiently releases collected stormwater runoff and standing water before it can cause costly property damage. It ensures that collected water is safely discharged downstream, away from buildings, erosion-prone landscapes, and areas with poor drainage.

The emitter is compatible with 3 in. & 4 in. sewer and drain fittings, and can connect to other pipe types using the appropriate adapters. It can release collected water at a rate of up to 40 gallons per minute, supporting pedestrian traffic such as lawn tractors when properly installed.

An outside flange prevents grass from growing over the cover. The cap, or cover, pops up to 1 inch high as water pressure builds, then closes as the flow diminishes. Its flat profile design reduces the trip hazard that open drains can pose, while the closed position keeps the emitter flush to the ground, protecting it from lawn mower blades.
